I had a clearer idea of what I wanted to focus my essay (Satire and persuasion) . I needed some images to talk about in my essay which I had some ( James Gillray, Thomas Nast) but wasn't sure because they were one of the very first satirical cartoons ever made and maybe too old which didn't really to convince me if I need to talk about contemporary satire , didn't sound right.
I started to look closely to South Park ( not that I've never seen it before,i love them and probably watched all episode) . I never look at them from a satiric perspective , just for have some laugh and disconnect from the world . I started to search and rewatch some of the most controversial episodes that caused lot of polemic in every part of the world due to their strong satirical content. Im ashamed how I didn't notice all these little things before.
I watched "Super best friends" episodes with a blank paper and started to write notes about the episode for further analysis . I might include this on my essay although I'm not sure if South park images will count as illustration due that is an animation .Anyways, I think this task will help me to understand satire from a satirical perspective and will reinforce my future analysis skills .
The first link is the episode of SouthPark, since they banned it from every country because radical islamists .
